Baba Dham Temple, Jharkhand
Baba Dham is one of the 11 Jyotirlingas. It is situated in Deoghar at Jharkhand. One of the specialty of this temple is that it has all the 10 Jyotirlingas as temple in it's premises including the temple of Maa Parvati and Lord Ganesha and is also known as Baba Baidyanath Dham. According to the facts in history King Ravana worshipped Lord Shiva and offered his 10 heads one after the another. Lord shiva was pleased with his act, hence he cured him as he was injured. The temple derives it's name from there as "Vaidhya" which means doctor. This temple is especially famous for offering prayers for people who are suffering from some major health issues. People come here and take blessings of good health for them and their families. The temple is also famous for its Kanvar Yatra and as the main Pilgrimage of devotees of Lord Shiva known as the Kanvarias. The Gathbandhan Puja is also very famous of this temple, which is considered as a solution of unhappy married life. This puja is only performed here as it is considered Lord shiva is not alone. According to the Purana's, this temple is also one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of India as Mata Sati's heart has fallen here.
