HARSIDDHI TEMPLE IN UJJAIN
Madhya Pradesh, India is a very important and popular pilgrimage site of city for followers of Sanatan Dharma. The Harsiddhi Mata temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeeth temples of the Goddess, is located near Rudra Sagar Lake in Ujjain the city of Mahakal, where the world famous Mahakaleshwar Temple is located. It is also said that the goddess Harsiddhi was Kuldevi of great King Vikramaditya, and the king worshiped Devi Harsiddhi with great belief and Mangalchandiki’ was the ancient name of the goddess interesting legend associated with Harsiddhi Mata, as per the Skanda Puran, a sacred ancient text of Sanatan Dharma, once demon Chand and Prachand tried to enter Mount Kailash where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati lived. Then Lord Shiva called up goddess Chandi, one of incarnations of the goddess Parvati, Goddess Chandi had killed both demons. After this incident Lord Shiva called Goddess Chandi as Harsiddhi, thus from the blessing of Lord Shiva Chandi Ma gets the title of Harsiddhi.
