These 9 planets are worshipped to overcome any obstacle or bad luck found mostly as prayers are offered to the Navagrahas. On an auspicious muhurtam along with the inclusion of your name and nakshatra during the Sankalpa of the puja, the Navagraha Mantra is performed by an experienced priest with the aspirant alone or with his family.
Navagraha mantras are to be chanted on the days related to their respective planet lords. For example, Surya Mantra is to be recited on Sundays, Chandra or Soma Mantra is to be recited on Mondays and so on.
