DESCRIPTION

Situated on the bank of Assi River in Lanka locality, Sankatmochan Mandir is a popular religious place. Lord Hanuman, also called as Sankatmochan, the god who protects from all dangers and evils, is worshipped by people from different strata of Hindu society.

It was established by the renowned saint, Goswami Tulsidas Ji, in the 16th century. Marvel at the idol of Lord Hanuman in the sanctum. Devotees recite Hamuman Chalisa, and Sundarkand from the Epic Ramcharitmanas.

Visit for the vibrant 'Aartis' and offer prayers here. Hanuman Jayanti and Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaroh are celebrated with a lot of vigour. Beware of monkeys which are present in the premises.
