Tour Itinerary

Day 1: ( Arrival- NJP ) & Transfer Dhotrey (101.9 km/ 4 hours)

After dropping down at the NJP, you’ll be greeted & driven by to the ravishing Dhotrey. Dhotrey is the hub of all the adventure activities like trekking, camping and some rare irreplaceable clicks of nature. It is a popular halt for the trekkers & tourists alike. The hamlet lies in the buffer zone of the Singalila national park. It offers a captivating view of Kanchenjunga.

Day 2- Dhotrey to Jaubari (7km / 3 hours)

The second day will commence with a finger-licking breakfast and then you’ll be trekking to a quaint & authentic Sherpa settlement. The small houses are built in Sherpa style and horse stables with horses are a common sight and its a view to watch.

Day 3: Jaubari to Kalipokhri (8km/ 3 hours)

Kalipokhri translates as a black pond in Nepalese. Kalipokhri is named after a beautiful dark lake situated near the village. The lake despite being at such a high altitude never freezes & is considered sacred by the locals. It’s one of the offbeat destinations which is also a base camp for the trekkers headed to Sandakphu. Kalipokhri offers both commercial and home stay to the trekkers.  On a clear day, it offers a ravishing view of the Sandakphu.

Day 4 :Kalipokhri to Sandakphu (6.2 km/3 hours)

Today is the big day when you would finally make it to the place that you have been eager to see Sandakphu through a combo of steep and less steep terrains. As you start off, you get to reach Manebhanjan through a less steep trail, covering roughly 3 km. At an altitude of 10,000 feet, the feeling of breathlessness is quite common but you are soon to be rewarded richly as you reach Sandakphu at a height of 11,930 feet. With the likes of Kanchenjunga and Everest in the backdrop, you are likely to lose yourself in the mesmerizing beautiful ranges of the Himalayas with the rhododendrons and silver fir lining the slopes.

Day 5: Sandakphu to Gurdum (12 km/4 hours)

After completing the trek at Sandakphu we’ll head homewards.  On the way, we’ll stop at Gurdum. Its 8000 feet high. The scenic village is a well-known base camp for the Sandakphu trekkers. The place is known for tranquility, scenic beauty & Rhododendrons.

Day 6 :Grudum to Srikhola (6 km/2 hours)

Srikhola is a serene hamlet beside river Srikhola. The place is well known for its natural flora like oaks, birch & prepossessing Himalayan fauna. The fauna includes Blue Maggie & hilly sparrows. The sight-seeing here is a delight for the nature lovers.

Day 7 :Srikhola - NJP ( Departure )

From Srikhola you’ll be drop off at the NJP railway station.
