Tour Itinerary 


Day 01: (Arrival) Haridwar to Barkot (180 km / 7-8 hrs, altitude 1352 meters)

Meet our driver at Haridwar who will take you to Barkot on road through Mussoorie. You can visit the Kempty Falls and Mussoorie Lake before arrival at Barkot. Check into the hotel at Barkot and overnight stay at Barkot.

Pleasant climate in summer with temperature ranging between 25-30 degree Celsius while winter has pleasant cold in the mornings and very cold in the nights between 10-5 degree Celsius.


Day 02: Barkot to Yamunotri - Barkot - Uttarkasi (45km on road and a trek of 6km one way, Altitude 3235 meters) 

After having breakfast drive to Jankichetti early in the morning from where the trek to Yamunotri starts. Leave the vehicle at Jankichetti and start the trek by walk or by pony or palki. The pony and palki charges will be additional to be borne by the customer. You can buy Prasad at the local shops in Yamunotri (your expense) and take a dip in the natural hot spring or in the ice cold river Yamuna. Rice can be cooked in the hot water spring by dipping it in a muslin cloth. You can offer pooja to the Divya Shila in here and take the blessings of Mata Yamuna before going down to Janakichetti. Drive to Barkot for overnight stay.


  1. Pony charges: Rs. 1,000 - 1,500/- Per person approximately.

Places of interest to visit includes:

Temple of Yamunotri: This is a Temple dedicated to the Goddess river Yamuna who is considered to be the daughter of sister of Yamraj and Lord Surya. The Temple was built by the Maharani of Jaipur, Maharani Gularia in the 19th century. Many avalanches have destroyed this Temple many times due to its location in the high altitudes. The Temple has been rebuilt many times.

Surya Kund: While there are many hot springs near the temple flowing into different ponds, the Surya Kund is the most important of all and is dedicated to the Lord Surya.

Divya Shila: As per the mythological beliefs, it is from here that the River Yamuna originated and hence this is the place where she is worshipped.


Day 03: Barkot to Uttarkashi (90km / 3-4 hrs, altitude 1352 Meters)

After having breakfast check out from hotel at Barkot and drive to Uttarkasi. Check in to hotel at Uttarkasi and visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple 

Check into hotel at Uttarkashi and visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

There are many Temples and ashrams and is very much similar to the Varanasi (Kashi) and hence known by the name of Uttar Kashi (or the Upper Kashi). This place is also located on the shores of River Ganga.


Day 04: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi (100km / 3-4 hrs, altitude 3048 meters)

After having breakfast leave early morning to Gangotri through Gangnani where you can take a holy dip in the Garam Kund. Drive through the scenic Harsil valley with packed breakfast. The valley is known for its scenic landscape covered with Deodar trees and lush mountains. Take a dip in the holy river Ganges upon arrival at Gangotri, where the river is called as Bhagirathi. Finish your Darshan, perform puja and then relax leisurely at this holy place. Return to Uttarkashi and overnight stay.

Place of interest includes the Gangotri Temple which was built by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa, and located on the banks of river Bhagirathi it is from the 18th century.


Day 05: Uttarkashi to Sitapur (220kms / 8-9 hrs, altitude 1319mtrs)

After having breakfast checkout from hotel processed to Sitapur through Lambgoan and Moogarh. The River Mandakini can be seen on your way through Tilwara. The river originates from Kedarnath and you will be riding along the river to reach Sitapur. Check in at the Sitapur hotel and overnight stay.


Day 06: Sitapur to Kedarnath and back to Sitapur(19km of trek / 6 hrs, altitude 3384 meters)

Reach Sonprayag early in the morning for the onward trek to Kedarnath. Ascend the trek either on foot or on Doli/ Pony. Cost of Doli/ Pony to be borne by the customer. There is also helicopter service which you can avail at additional cost. Guests should carry their own woolen clothes, toiletries and personal medicines. Finish Darshan and Puja at the Temple of Kedarnath return to Sitapur and overnight stay.

Places of interest include the Kedarnath shrine which is among the 12 jyotirlingams of Lord Shiva. Located on a scenic background with the majestic ranges of Kedarnath, this place is the abode of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer, who is also known by the name of Kedar. According to mythology, after winning the war in Kurukshetra, Pandavas felt guilty for killing their kin and sought redemption from Lord Shiva. However the Lord eluded them again and again finally reaching kedarnath where he was in the form of bull. When pursued by the Pandavas, he dived underground, leaving the hump on surface. The other portions of Shiva appeared in various places where they are worshiped, the arms in Tungnath, the face in Rudranath, his hair locks with the head in Kalpeshwar, his belly in Madhmaheshwar. These four shrines along with Kedarnath are referred by the name of Panch Kedar.

Day 07: Sitapur to Pipalkoti / Joshimath (170 kms / 6-7 hrs, altitude 1875 meters)

Leave from Sitapur by afternoon to reach Joshimath. Check into the hotel and overnight stay.


Day 08: Pipalkoti/Joshimath to Badrinath and back (45 kms / 1-2 hrs, altitude 3300 meters)

After having breakfast processed to Badrinath from Joshimath through Narasimha. Temple in Joshimath and Vishnu Prayag. Visit Mana village at the border of India and Tibet which also has the Ganesh Gufa, Vyasa Gufa, Bhimpul, River Saraswati and more. Check into hotel and explore the valley around the holy Temple of Badrinath. Visit the Temple at Badrinath and take a holy dip in the Taptkund. Go through the colorful entrance of Badrinath to have Darshan of Badrivishal along with Garuda, Ganesha, Narada, Kubera, Uddhav, Nar and Narayan. There are also other smaller Temples to visit nearby that of the Kaamdhenu, Ghantakam, Hanuman, Nar- Narayana and Laxmimata. You can also get the Charnamrit, the holy water used for the bathing of deities inside the Temple compound.

One can also perform rites for their ancestors, the Pinddam Shraddh at the Brahamakapal.
 Places of interest include

Badrinath: Which is also the most celebrated of the four dhams located at an altitude of about 3300 meters above sea level. There are two mountain ranges on both sides namely the Nar and Narayana which towers over the peak of Neelkanth creating a majestic backdrop. There were a lot of wild berries laying as a carpet which is also the reason for the name of this place “Badri van” where Badri means wild berries.
Tapt Kund: It is customary to take bath in this natural hot spring located on the banks of the river Alaknanda before going to the Temple at Badrinath.
Narad Kund: This is a recess of the river near the Tapt Kund where the idol of Badrinath was found by the Jagad Guru Shankaracharya which was later established in the Temple.
Brahma Kapal: A flat platform on the banks of River Alaknanda where Hindus perform spiritual rites for their ancestors.

Sheshnetra: At a distance of about 1.5 km from the Temple lies this boulder with the legendary serpent impression, also known as the Sheshnag’s eye.
Charanpaduka: At a distance of about 3 km from the Temple you can see the footprint of Lord Vishnu on a boulder here.
Mata Murty Temple: Temple of Sri Badrinathji’s mother. There are also other smaller temples like Urvashi temple, Sesh Netra temple and Charanpaduka.
Mana Village: The last Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border occupied by Indo-Mongolian tribe.

Bhimpul: A massive rock over River Saraswati, forming a natural bridge above the roaring waters. This is supposed to have been placed by Bhim, the second of the Pandavas and it creates a splendid view of the water rushing through the narrow passage.

Vyas Gufa: This is a rock cave where it is believed that Ved Vyas composed his puranic commentaries and the great Mahabharata

Joshimath: One of the four maths established by AdiShankaracharya, the Joshimath is a juncture of river Dhauliganga and Alaknanda. Many Temples are here including the famous Narasimha Temple of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of the idol in this place is supposed to be withering and it is believed that when the arm completely withers off, the Badrinath valley will cease to exist. The residence of the Gods will then shift to the Bhavishya Badri at Niti Valley.


Day 09: Pipalkoti/Joshimath to Haridwar (240kms / 8-9 hrs)

After breakfast, travel to Haridwar.
Enroute places of interest to visit include, Vishnu Prayag where the rivers Dhauliganga and Alaknanda meet. Nand Prayag where the rivers Alananda and Nandakani meet. Karan Prayag where rivers Alananda and Pinder meet. Rudra Prayag where rivers Alananda and Mandakini meet.

While the drive, we have an en-route stoppage at Rishikesh. Also, known popularly as "Place of Sages" is a spiritual town situated on the banks of river Ganga. Rishikesh, surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas is also popular for its spiritual celebrations.

As per the beliefs, there was a Rishi named "Raibhya Rishi" who beared tough punishments and then God named "Rishikesh" was seen and later on the place was named as Rishikesh. Rishikesh is popular with its name as the "Yoga Capital of the World". There are numerous tourist destinations here including Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram etc. After covering all these destinations, enjoy the Ganga Aarti in the evening at Parmarth Ashram.
Drive to Haridwar. Once your reach Haridwar, based on your booking plan for returning to homeplace, you will be shifted to the Railway station/ Airport.
